Delta High School Class of '65
Delta High School Song
The 1930's Delta High School Thespian Club originally wrote the Delta High School Song. Ivan A. Smith was President of the Thespian Club at the time and was the primary contributor of the lyrics. The music is from a 19th Century March called Roland's Grandioso March by Seitz.
I contacted Norman Smith who is the Music Director for Delta High School, as well as the son of Ivan A. Smith, one of the original writers of the school song, and asked him if he would be willing to have the Delta High School Band and the Delta High School Starmakers record the School Song on CD for the Class of 65 as well as for all the Alumni of Delta High School.
Norman took on the project and now the Delta High School Song is saved on CD and now part of the Class of 65 Website. I hope all who hear it enjoy it.
All Hail to our Delta High
(Rah, Rah, Rah) Note: this was not part of the original lyrics but was added to the song over the years by enthusiastic sports fans and students.
Streams from the mountain peaks
The Class of 65 and all Alumni of Delta High School would like to thank Norman Smith, the Delta High School Starmakers and the Delta High School Band for recreating the High School Song for all to enjoy!
